Self-Hosting n8n: A Cost-Effective Way to Automate AI Projects

Setting up your own n8n server can save you money while giving you the power to create your own automation. Instead of paying 20 euros or more per month, you can self-host the community edition on a cloud server for less than 5 euros!

I started my journey with n8n using Hetzner Cloud's CPX11 server, which costs only 4 euros and 66 cents per month. The setup process is quick and straightforward; I was able to go from clicking 'create server' to having everything operational in about 10 minutes.

With n8n, I’ve been able to implement Google authorization and test some powerful features such as transcription. Using the templates provided, I’ve experimented with various connections and can confirm that it works remarkably well.
